Somerset Sight hosted a fabulous evening with Michael Eavis, the inspirational creator of Glastonbury Festival, on Thursday 12th September at Haselbury Mill.
Michael Eavis, the phenomenal creator of Glastonbury Festival kindly gave his time and talked about his varied life, including how he got to where he is today, his life as a dairy farmer, the inception of the festival and how it has affected his life. Michael answered many questions from the audience and then joined us for a ploughman’s supper afterwards.
Michael treated the audience to a singing performance following supper and Roger Bastable and his group Rave to the Grave finished off the night with some fantastic numbers.
It was a brilliant evening raising over £2500 to ensure our vital services continue in Somerset.
Thank you to Michael Eavis, Haselbury Mill and Roger Bastable/ Rave to the Grave for their support on the evening.
